SHIPPING INFORMATION
Shipping timelines are guided by each designer’s craftsmanship and production process. Many of our items are made to order, requiring up to three weeks for completion, while in-stock pieces typically ship within 48 hours. Individual product pages display the most accurate shipping timelines to help set expectations before purchase.
Industrie Africa continues its trusted partnership with DHL Express for global delivery to over 220 countries, typically arriving within 3–5 business days of the ship date, depending on destination and customs clearance. All orders are processed and fulfilled Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM East African Time.
Each designer or brand fulfils your order directly from their studio or showroom to your doorstep. If your purchase includes items from more than one designer, shipments may arrive separately. Tracking information will be provided for each parcel to ensure full transparency throughout delivery.
To make international shopping seamless, Industrie Africa covers all express delivery fees—no additional shipping costs are charged at checkout.
As part of our transition, orders will be accepted through April 30, 2026. Beginning May 1, 2026, Industrie Africa’s retail platform will permanently close. All valid orders placed before the closure date will be fulfilled and delivered in accordance with our standard timelines and quality standards.
PRICES
To keep things simple, our prices include international express shipping. You won’t see a separate shipping fee at checkout. Every order also earns Front Row Rewards you can redeem on future purchases. We do not offer price adjustments.
CUSTOMS & IMPORT DUTIES
Duties and taxes can be confusing—and unexpected costs can take the joy out of a purchase. We’ve redesigned checkout to make totals more transparent and delivery smoother. One clear total at checkout: duties & taxes are shown—and payable—upfront (DDP) whenever possible, so you see the exact amount before you pay.
Smoother delivery: prepaying reduces customs delays and removes unexpected bills on arrival.
Shop with confidence: your purchase supports Africa’s most remarkable independent designers—without the stress of surprise fees.
U.S. customers: the removal of the long-standing “de minimis” exception means all packages are now subject to duties and taxes, regardless of value. While this policy targets large-scale imports, it also affects the small-batch African designers we champion. Our commitment remains simple: transparent checkout, fewer customs delays, and a smooth path from atelier to your door.

We recognize that these new regulations have introduced added costs and unpredictability for customers. To offset this, Industrie Africa is:
- Displaying estimated duties upfront at checkout whenever possible.
- Offering rewards through our Front Row loyalty program to give back every time you shop.
- Staying in close communication throughout the shipping process so you’re never caught off guard.
These measures are designed to keep independent African design accessible, transparent, and rewarding to support.
RETURNS POLICY
Industrie Africa will accept returns on regular-priced items for orders placed before our transition period, provided the return request is initiated within 7 days of delivery.
To request a return, please email customercare@industrieafrica.com with your order number and reason for return. As Industrie Africa prepares to sunset its e-commerce platform, all purchases made during April 2026 are considered final sale and are not eligible for return or refund.
Refunds or returns will not be accommodated beyond April 30, 2026. Under very specific circumstances—such as items delivered damaged—our Customer Care team will liaise directly with the relevant brand to help resolve the issue on a case-by-case basis. We encourage customers to review all product descriptions, sizing details, and materials prior to purchase. For assistance, please reach out to customercare@industrieafrica.com, where our team will gladly support you in making an informed selection before placing your order.
Gift cards, credits, and points must be redeemed by April 30, 2026. Unredeemed gift cards may be eligible for a cash refund request submitted to Customer Care by May 15, 2026.
Not Happy With Your Order? No Problem.
Industrie Africa accepts returns on regular priced items that meet the following requirements:
1. Return is initiated and mailed back by the customer within 7 days of delivery date.
2. The returned items comply with our returns policy:
- Items must be returned unworn, undamaged and unused, with all tags attached and the original packaging included.
- Footwear and accessories must be returned with the original branded boxes and dust bags, where provided, and placed inside a protective outer box for shipping.
- When trying on footwear, please take care not to mark the soles or damage the shoe box.
- Swimwear items must be returned with the hygiene seals attached and in unopened and undamaged product packaging, where applicable. Swimwear must only be tried on over your own undergarments. We will not accept any returns that have been worn or are soiled.
- For hygiene and safety reasons, earrings are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned or exchanged. If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact our customer service team within 7 days of delivery for assistance.
Please take care when trying on your purchases and return them in the same condition you received them. Any returns that do not meet our policy will not be accepted. Unfortunately, Industrie Africa is not able to offer exchanges at this time.
REFUNDS
Any site credit used to place the original order will not be restored to your account. All eligible returns will be issued in United States dollars (USD). You will be responsible for the $40 return processing fee, therefore this will be deducted from your refund.
FINAL SALE ITEMS
Please note that all Sale items are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Exceptions include damaged items or order discrepancies where an incorrect size, color or style is shipped. If you would like to return a defective product, you must notify us no later than 7 days after delivery. No returns will be accepted if you fail to notify us within the 7 day period or fail to ship the product back to us or the seller (as directed by us) within 30 days after the product was shipped. Store credit will be offered for any returned items, minus the return shipping label fee.
INITIATING A RETURN
We gladly accept returns that meet our policy. Please email us at CUSTOMERCARE@INDUSTRIEAFRICA.COM with your order number in the subject line to submit your return request, and receive your pre-paid shipping label from our Customer Care team. You are responsible for repackaging and shipping the item on time. Industrie Africa is not responsible for any packages that are lost in transit.
