After five years of building one of the most trusted platforms for African fashion online, Industrie Africa is evolving: bringing Africa’s contemporary design narrative into luxury resorts, cultural properties, and physical spaces where it can be experienced firsthand. Our first, SoLA — a boutique inside a luxury resort on Bawe Island, Zanzibar — is already open.
That experience shaped what comes next. Through IA+, we now work directly with luxury partners to build retail spaces featuring African designers — with the taste, rigour, and follow-through to make sure what’s built is credible and made to last.

OUR EVOLUTION
Industrie Africa was built to widen the field of vision around this ecosystem: creating context, trust, and access where too much of the industry had been flattened, misread, or left out of the global luxury conversation entirely.
But the ambition was never only to be admired from afar.
From the beginning, the deeper opportunity was physical: to place the work where it could be experienced in full — the texture, the movement, the intelligence of how it is made.
That is the chapter we are in now.
Why This Matters
The designers and makers we work with deserve spaces of their own — where their work shapes the atmosphere, the aesthetic, and the commercial identity of a place from the ground up.
This next phase is about presence, in its fullest sense. It is about inviting people to encounter African design up close: to feel the materials, understand the craft, and experience the work as it was always meant to be seen.
SoLA is a boutique on Bawe Island, Zanzibar, shaped around destination, design, and the guest experience. It is our first live expression of what this work can become: a space where the work is not an add-on, but the aesthetic and cultural heart of one of Zanzibar’s most distinctive environments. This is what becomes possible when curation, storytelling, and commercial precision come together from the very beginning.
How We Work
We help luxury hotels, brands, and cultural spaces build retail featuring African designers. We choose what belongs, set it up to sell, and make sure it holds over time.
What sets our work apart is that it comes from inside the ecosystem. We understand the designers, the craft, the logistics, and the context — and we shape partnerships that are built to last in the real world.
