  • Insider Notes

The unique technique inherent to the production process means no two pieces are the same, with subtle variations and different characteristics in the color and pattern of each garment.

Dye Lab’s Agbada continues its conversation between heritage and contemporary design with this striking piece, made in Nigeria. Hand-dyed cotton in tonal blue motifs is paired with a fuchsia pink Aso Oke collar—a bold juxtaposition that nods to Yoruba ceremonial wear while embracing modern ease. Balance the fusion of blue and fuchsia with a touch of modern elegance. Layer it over slim trousers and add metallic accents for a high-impact, contemporary look that beautifully merges heritage with forward-thinking design.
