LUXURY AIRBNB EXPERIENCE:

Take to the skies with a once-in-a-lifetime sunrise desert hot air balloon experience, a camel ride and breakfast in the Agafay desert.

LOCAL TIPS:

While Morocco is a Muslim country, it is relatively cosmopolitan and liberal. However, keeping local customs in mind while traveling will ensure a much more comfortable experience for you:

- Alcohol consumption is permitted, but it must be purchased and consumed in licensed hotels, bars and designated areas.

- It is advisable for women travelers to dress modestly, covering the shoulders and pants or skirts that cover the knee. If you are entering a religious site, you will need to cover your head as well.

- When booking Riad Alkemia, tourist taxes, amounting to 23dh person/day, are not included in the price, and must be paid cash.

2.

- Initially settled by the Portuguese in 1470, expect Portuguese influences in food and language, with strong Creole aspects too.

- The island and surrounds are a nature-lover's dream. From barely-touched beaches and mountain treks to exotic plants and animals, you’ll find it all on one island adventure.
