Adanna Jacket

  • Insider Notes

    • Emmy Kasbit’s mastery of modern tailoring is clearly evident in this SS’21 Adanna Jacket. Crafted in Nigeria from sustainable linen and handwoven Akwete—a fabric of ancient Igbo origins—the powerful silhouette is softened by the subtle sheerness of the fabric and the breezy off-white shade. Notice the wine-hued zigzag stitching that lends the look an artisanal feel. Echo the brand’s styling by teaming yours with the matching pants.

Founded in Nigeria by Emmanuel Okoro, Emmy Kasbit was born out of a passion to dress the unconventional man and woman with fierce sartorial instincts. Strong, architectural silhouettes are featured throughout each collection, with fabrics made by local Nigerian artisans using traditional West African weaving techniques. The result is a fantastic juxtaposition of bold lines, and vibrant colors and textures.
