  • Insider Notes

    • For Summer '20, Nigerian designer Lisa Folawiyo focuses on a "Less is More" mantra; a dedication to creating artisanal clothing that stands the test of time, with the idea that a person might discard less if they have more exceptional pieces. The maxi-length Batkara Layered Coat was created with this in mind. Crafted from luxurious green and blue Ankara textiles—it incorporates traditional batiking techniques onto waxed cotton, and features intricate diamante fringe detailing at the elbows. This outerwear piece is a stylish homage to the traditional garments worn by Nigerian women throughout the generations.
