  • Insider Notes

    • Motifs influenced by the Nigerian civil war abound in Lagos-based brand Emmy Kasbit's SS'22 collection. Intricately woven into the textile by skilled artisans, iron bars like those found in bunkers embellish the front and back of the Zonna dress. It's made from traditional Akwete and cut for a relaxed fit with flattering cap sleeves. Wear it with flats for daytime, switching to statement heels for dinner out.

      - Knee length, fringed hem, high neck, zipper fastening at back
      - Akwete
      - Sustainably and ethically made by local communities, with the mission to preserve traditional craft techniques
      - Made in Lagos, Nigeria, ships from Nigeria

Nigeria

Founded in Nigeria by Emmanuel Okoro, Emmy Kasbit was born out of a passion to dress the unconventional man and woman with fierce sartorial instincts. Strong, architectural silhouettes are featured throughout each collection, with fabrics made by local Nigerian artisans using traditional West African weaving techniques. The result is a fantastic juxtaposition of bold lines, and vibrant colors and textures.
