Asantii

Asantii, a ready-to-wear brand based in Rwanda that was founded in 2022 by Maryse Mbonyumutwa, was influenced by the designer's two decades of experience in the African fashion sector. Focused on a wardrobe of sophisticated essentials—pieces made with longevity, clarity, and purpose—it was conceived as a global brand with local roots.

Asantii's production ecosystem is its fundamental component. The company bases its operations in local manufacturing through Pink Mango, a plant in Rwanda that employs more than 1,500 people, mostly women. It also works with designers throughout the continent and technological experts worldwide. The Pink Ubuntu program, which reinvests in worker communities, is another example of this collaborative method. Asantii won the Rising Sustainable Brand Award in 2024, demonstrating its expanding impact on the worldwide production and positioning of African design.
