M.O.T the Label was founded in Lagos in 2019 by Mo Augusto, whose entry into fashion followed a background in image consulting and a growing awareness of gaps in the market. Designed with the contemporary woman in mind, the brand produces ready-to-wear across clothing, accessories, and kidswear, with an emphasis on pieces that respond to a range of body types often overlooked in mainstream sizing.
Function sits at the centre of the design process. Garments are developed to move easily between settings, combining everyday practicality with considered detailing and colour. This balance is supported by an on-demand production model, allowing the brand to produce in response to need rather than excess, while maintaining a direct relationship with its customer.
Materials are sourced with longevity in mind, and leftover fabrics are repurposed into additional products, extending their use beyond a single garment. Through this approach, M.O.T the Label builds a system that aligns design, wearability, and resource awareness.
